Define the Work for the Building
Residential and Commercial Roofing Scope
A home and an occupied commercial property have different access and coordination needs. Infinity documents the roofing work and selected system for the property, with a proposal that separates the approved scope from additional conditions or optional improvements.
01
Condition Assessment and Records
Inspection findings include photos and video. Provide past repair records and note leak locations, access limitations, and occupancy concerns so the evaluation connects roof conditions with the problems reported inside the building.
02
Repair Instead of Unneeded Replacement
Where a defect is limited, a repair may preserve the surrounding roof. The proposal identifies the affected details and the extent of work instead of treating a localized flashing or penetration problem as automatic replacement.
03
Replacement and Installation Planning
For a replacement, the scope covers approved removal, exposed-deck evaluation, underlayment, flashing, edges, and the chosen roof covering. Required ventilation work and handling of concealed damage should be understood before installation starts.
04
Roof-System and Product Decisions
GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed, Malarkey, and DaVinci are among the manufacturers Infinity installs. System selection should reflect the building and roof configuration; eligible projects can also be evaluated for FORTIFIED Roof System options.
05
Maintenance for Serviceable Roofs
Inspection and maintenance documentation helps owners track aging and visible damage over time. Separate ongoing upkeep from a defined repair scope and larger replacement needs so one visit does not become an unclear commitment.
06
Exterior and Interior Coordination
Infinity also handles gutters, siding, windows, fencing, and painting. When these items are related to the roof project, discuss their sequence and boundaries so each part of the building receives a clearly defined scope.
Approve a Defined Scope, Not an Open-Ended Job
Authorized roofing work
should identify the building or roof areas involved, system components, protection measures, disposal, agreed corrections, and final review. Where occupants or tenants are affected, include access responsibilities and the project’s communication arrangements. Work outside that scope
can include concealed decking damage, unexpected roof-to-wall conditions, or a separately requested exterior improvement. Infinity documents the condition and reviews the proposed change before moving forward. Keep those decisions distinct from the original work so owners understand what they are authorizing.
